ARGH! I had a whole post written out and then I pressed backspace but it went back a PAGE instead! Now I'm tired and grumpy, I'll retype and post tomorrow

To answer your question merc, I'm up, and my subject is "something in your home, that no visitor has ever seen" which will be posted tomorrow after I roll out of bed.

I've done the backspace erase button mistake, and you know what? The "forward" button on the browser control bar restores the post I've written.
Did reading that make you happier?

I won't speak to your question about relative happiness, but I will say that in Firefox, your technique does *not* restore my post.

I'm in firefox too and I tested it on that post (and this one) to be sure.

I used the forward button, and there was no post to be found, I assure you.

Anyway, I'm up now...here's my entry:

My dad gave these to me a looong time ago. He collected them on the beach with me when I was younger I guess.

Baby horseshoe crabs tend to get up too high on the beach during low tide and dry out leaving these perfect little shells. Around the penny are also baby conch shells from egg sacs which wash up as well. These aren't so much a secret from others, but they're important to me because they came from my dad and they're very fragile, so I keep them behind my lamp on my side table...thereby nobody gets to see them. (And, my dad has seen them, but he doesn't count as a visitor because he lives here.) Enjoy!

Ok...who's next?

Wow, I've seen horseshoe crabs before, but never small baby ones like that. I was wondering what that "big disk" in the middle was until you said it was a penny! Coolness!

typing in this box

then clickin outside this box to change the focus (because inside this box backspace only does what it's expected to do)

type type type

After some experimentation I think the crucial difference is this:

Your technique works when in advanced reply mode.

Your technique does not work when in quick reply mode.

Please confirm.

Ah, spose I forgot that our non-american cellarites may not know how big a penny is, since it was only there for size reference....for you guys...uhm...well you can see a bit of my keyboard in the background of the first shot, I assume keyboards are more or less the same size...

(Working on an idea for Kitsune...)

No, I'm a merkin, but I just didn't realize it was a penny because I was more focused on the crabs.
