I don't think they have to worry about snow in Georgia...but here, we do. That was why I picked the SX4, which has all wheel drive. Now, my husband drives that to work every day since he commutes to the tech center. He tends to get around 30-32 mpg in that. I have a 2002 Envoy to wheel around our small town in. It gets about 15 gallons per mile, so we usually refrain from using it too much. But it is nice for long trips with 3 kids!

I love the matching cars, UT. I would have to pick the darker gray, too. If we had matching cars, the difference would be the CDs my husband and I have in them. Oh, and whether or not the outside trim was still attached.

OR

it would be a tough choice for me. close in price, and economy. I've sat in both briefly, but don't really remember which was more comfortable. I'd have to drive both back to back, I think.

Mmm...mini coopers are delicious...

My neighbor has 3, we live in the middle of the woods, and our roads rarely get plowed, he makes it back and forth in them well enough. At least I can't remember him ever getting stuck...

After I saw these posts I walked over to the lodge (at Ohio Assoc of FA Administrator conference) and noticed one of the colleges has a "company" car and it's a mini...painted with their logo. It's really cute.

Yea...lot's of people are wrapping smart cars too.

Cool car? Get paid to wrap it in a logo!! Unless you drive like an a hole. Which I'm guessing, a lot of you do....

My ex husband had a Porsche.
Because of the low ground clearance, when it snowed we always went in my Mini. Despite the fact that it didn't fit in the wheel tracks left by the other cars! We drove lopsidedly with one wheel in the track and the other on the snow.

But if we'd come to grief, repairs would have been far cheaper.

I've actually considered ditching my FJ for a mini. I rarely get off road anymore and we still have the truck for trips to mexico, so the gas mileage might be nice and I'm pretty sure the tires for a mini aren't $270 each.

We don't get snow where I live (Thank GOD) but we get plenty of rain. I will have to do some research on that issue. Thanks for the heads up.
