I call bite me.

Read again, darling: what I said was that domestic violence is a far cry different than some gangbanger on the street (relating two different threads I was cross-posting in) and that women gang-assaulting a man out of revenge isn't right either, but that if I were on a jury I would find it hard to vote to convict someone who had been through what the woman depicted in The Burning Bed went through. I didn't say it was right, I said it should be dealt with within the law. However, I know how I feel when I see such things, and it gets me where I live, so to speak, so I admit my human flaw of thinking "fuck you you abusive control freak who uses your strength and intimidation skills to hurt someone who once loved you so much."

Oh, and bite me. Twice.

You wouldn't vote to convict a woman who tortured a man.

So how is the situation supposed to be dealt with by law if the jurors don't follow the law?

You're saying you would let this violent criminal go free.

I'm just calling it like I see it.

Is that really necessary?

Oh I will resist the urge to respond about what you eat...

You just pop on in here and act like a bitch to me, who you don't even know? Yeah, bite me. No reasonable discourse, no "can you explain to me your feelings about this?" No, just a big "bullshit" call. You don't know fucking shit about me, but you're going to call a bullshit on me? You even seem the type to glue a man's dick and assault him. What? I can't make that call? I don't know you? Huh.

Fuck. You.

First of all, I didn't just "pop" on here? I was here **years** before you were.

My "reasonable discourse" followed my initial statement. And if you think *that* was bitchy, you ain't seen nothin.

Get a grip. Just because you have been called on a double standard, don't get all pissed off at me. And the whole "fuck you" thing with the excessive punctuation? That supposed to what, exactly? Make me change my mind? I'm not entirely clear here. Can you explain to me your feelings about this?

Yeah, I will. You're an abrasive and abusive person. This is why you take offense, something inside you rises up and overcomes your deeply-ingrained Christianity, and the only way to deal is to call out someone else on something that doesn't exist. If you can't see the difference between the two scenarios, well, you're blind, but if you actually read what I said and I ADMITTED TO KNOWING ISN'T RIGHT, you'll see no double standard exists. Can we get a UG in here to teach reading comprehension?

Oh, you have longevity on me? Wow, let me bow to your superior internetness.

Abrasive I can understand that you might "hear" my tone that way. Abusive? cite. Seems to me you're the one saying "Bite Me" and "fuck you" and whatever else.

huh? take offense at what?

What does my religion have to do with you having a double standard?

Why do you think I can't tell the difference between the two scenarios? Because I disagree with you?

I did read what you said. several times, to make sure I understood what you were trying to say.

I disagree. I think a double standard does exist, and I agree that it isn't right.

Can we not and say we didn't?

My pointing out to you that I've been here longer than you wasn't in an attempt to be better than you, it was to point out that I didn't just "pop in here", like I was some n00b who doesn't know the culture here.

We've disagreed before, Shawnee, and you've not been this vitriolic, at least without quite a bit more pushing.

And as I've pointed out (bit by bit), you're making ALOT of assumptions and I think you're "hearing" my "voice" in a much different tone than it's written.

Calm down, take a breath. It's OK. Really.

Stop patronizing me. Yes, it's OK. And it's over. You wanted a squabble and you got one. I contend that I do not have a double standard...you just don't listen. Simple enough. Keep pointing at me with your powerful DS designator, I'm already bored with your approach, which is to say I don't have time nor the inclination to watch you play "let's rile up Shaw because she admitted to being happy" while you sit back and play Miss Calm and Informed.

You don't know me. I wouldn't expect you to. We certainly wouldn't seek each other out IRL, our values being so vastly different and all. Therefore, I see no reason to continue down this useless road.

Oh, and I just like saying Fuck You and Bite Me, but I'm a bad person.

No, I didn't. You assuming. Again.

What's a DS designator?

Stop assuming you know my motives or my thoughts. I didn't see where you admitted to being happy, and if I *had*, I certainly am not the kind of person to rile up anyone on purpose without considerable reason. STOP ASSUMING. It makes you look like an ass.

Actually, I'm kind of upset, but I'm trying keep from making the kind of personal attacks on you that you're doing on me. I don't like what you're doing, and I don't want to act like that, which is why I deleted the part of my second post that wasn't nice. I recognized it didn't help anything, that it was a trollish statement, and removed it before you commented on it, but not before you saw it. So, I apologize for "saying" it.

Oh please. "Our values being so different and all"? Since you *don't* know me, how can you say what my values are?

Its only a useless road if you're close minded.

And as a final thought, taking your pissiness from this thread and then going behind my posts on other threads and making snarky comments is, in my opinion, childish and petulant. Grow the hell up and act like an adult.

[done with this]

Your opinion isn't relevant to me. *shrugs*

Instigating asshole's opinions usually aren't. I just like to watch you prance around on your fake high horse. Turning the tables, so to speak. This goal has been achieved. It's a very telling little story: you're something special, aren't ya?
