Wealthy - I did my laundry today and stuffed 4 loads in one dryer to save quarters. Not very wise - everything came out wrinkled. Healthy - I only smoked one cigarette while waiting for everything to dry. Oh well, tomorrow's another day.

how you are using your time productively, for positive physical, mental, emotional, or financial returns.
Physical: The sun is finally shining, so I'm going to do some gardening today. YAY! Just gotta wait a bit for it to warm up - quite chilly out there right now.

Mental: Every morning, after reading my email and visiting message boards, I play a few games of Paraben's Mah Jong, using the difficult "bridge" design. Keeps me sharp. I can usually do it in less than three minutes; best time was 1:51!

Emotional: Yesterday, I took one of my kitties to the vet for possible kidney or diabetes issues. Was utterly ignored by the front desk staff when trying to pay and get my stressed kitty back home (the phone rang, and apparently paying customers simply wink out of existence when the phone rings). Had an argument with the girl once she finally stopped chatting with the caller about how to get a cat used to a carrier (!), and was so pissed off about it, I went home and started typing out a complaint letter.

Got a call this morning from the vet (who also happens to be the owner of the clinic) to say that my kitty may be in the very early stages of kidney failure, but she's currently in no danger, although more tests are needed. Then she said she'd heard about the poor customer service I received. She completely agreed that it was not acceptable, and said that the matter would be addressed in this afternoon's staff meeting.

So yeah. My complaints did not fall on deaf ears and my kitty isn't dying... yet.

Financial: I do pet sitting on the side. Got an easy and nearby pet-sitting gig through the 25th - $14 per visit to me.

Start my new job next Monday. *dread* I haven't had a real job in nearly six years, but the economic hard times we're in have forced me to not only search for a full-time job, but to accept one. Grocery store cashier. *dread*

I signed up for "finance works" through my local credit union website. A free Quicken-like service which gives you pie charts of your spending, provides alerts for upcoming bills, etc. Pretty cool and easy.

Completed administrative requirements of Referees Society.

Took kitchen floor boards to the dump.

Dug out neighborhood pond drainage ditch and overflow pipe.

Moved all appliances back into the house and set them up to working order, freezer #3, washing machine, dryer.

Laid down new throw carpet.

Cleaned out lint pipe under house.

Retrieved toy from woods for dog and laid down insecticides in swamp behind house.

Went to store and bought dinner and flowers for the wife.

Had a glass of wine.

No, then it might have been a "thrown" carpet.

Healthy: Went to the market for the week's supply of fruit and veg. Afterwards went to collect visiting Labradog and took him for walks in the pouring rain. Healthy? Well I got some exercise in the process

Wealthy: Deposited cheque for £25. (Premium Bond prize).
I hope HM Govt can meet it. Having listened to the news today, we're in deeper financial 'wossname' than ever.

Wise: Took visiting Labradog home! (See above)
