Oh, well, I forgot to say thank you. I suppose I should just kill my motherfrakkin' self right now.

Dispite you might think, I do appreciate everybody's efforts. I just was exited to find out how to use MouseKeys' "right-click" function, and forgot.

Besides, I'm pretty sure my thanks yous will be met with assholish comebacks cuz I know someone around here will think I'm not being sincere.

... If you don't get it, then why do you say it is lame? It might be a really cool jest; but one which draws on a cultural reference you don't have. That's not 'lame' that's just something you don't understand.

I don't get it either, btw. But I just assume that I am missing whatever cultural reference he's drawing on.

Might have been too obscure. The title of the thread reminded me of the Huey Lewis tune I Want a New Drug.

Ahh. I have a vague recollection of that song. I still don't see how it relates to my mouse sitiation.

I need a new mouse.
I want a new drug.

Hmmm. I didn't think it was going to be that obscure. Did anyone get it?

I got it after I thought about it for a moment, and I enjoyed it. Sucks to have to explain a joke, doesn't it? Makes you wish you hadn't tried at all.

Actually, I agree, but I was never a Huey fan, so I didn't get the reference.

If someone tells a reference joke, the recipient of the joke has to be familiar with what's being referenced.

The point isn't whether or not you get what someone posts. The point is that if you don't get it, do you assume it's an insulting or ill-intentioned remark ?
