Yeah..well, she's related to royalty now...have you seen what the rest of the royals look like? :p
I think she's above average pretty. Like a lot of the movie stars. They end up plastered all over the magazines with people gushing over That Dress at the oscars and the like. Less beautiful women than her (imo) have made entire careers out of their looks. In this pic she wouldn't look out of place amongst the Beautiful People:

![]() I'd agree, but I've also seen some very average pics which remind me (as a very extreme example) of Tori Spelling in that someone who is not particularly attractive is made up/dressed to punch above their weight so to speak in the beautiful people stakes. (Also, I can't stand obvious fake tan and there seems to be a lot of that). Last edited by casimendocina; 07-06-2011 at 07:07 AM. Reason: 2 pics of Pippa. |

The British Press adore setting people up.
All the better to batter them down again when the papers need more money. Collette Rooney, Elizabeth Hurley, Jemima Khan, Sienna Miller. And to even it out, David Beckham, Elton John, Ian Botham, Jonathan Ross. The names might not mean much to Americans, but that's because you avoided the Shark Pool of the British tabloids in the first place. Pretty girls (who don't show their nipples) get pictures on front pages, even in the broadsheets. Because they sell. They just have to categorise them as IT-girls, serious actresses or related in some was to Royalty (preferably through marriage, as it's easier to smash them up again later that way). The press conveniently forget how much they lambasted Diana before she died. Sneering at her for the Queen of Hearts interview (it was soppy) for her expenditure and for knowing another man when her children were heirs to the throne. They reamed her to hell and back. But the second she died she was a saint. The Queen nearly had her head on the block for simply following protocol after the death of her ex-daughter-in-law. She reluctantly expressed grief in an interview afterwards. My ex Mother-In-Law wouldn't have, and no surprise. Kate is a wife. If William chose his bride for her looks then shame on him. I think she's above average attractiveness, is loyal, intelligent and willing to live life in the goldfish bowl of the Royal Family without going fruitloop. And those are tough boxes to tick. Pippa is the It-girl of the moment. So was Tara Palmer Tomkinson (who I love, because she's so honest) and Tamara Beckwith. Neither stop traffic with their looks. But when the papers agree you're worth photographing, you're worth photographing. Or your phone is worth hacking. Or your dead daughter's phone is worth hacking (Milly Dowler)
