Wolf, I highly recommend you take the Toad up on his offer: he built mine (no monitor) for $350, and it took about a week total to get the stuff and put it together. And it's a pretty sweet 'puter. Dave and UT are some smart motherfuckers...at least on computer shit.

I swear it wasn't an impulse purchase.

Sony VAIO RS420.

(and no, I didn't get the monitor sold separately)

Ya had the Shakes, didn't Ya.

Maybe I should suck up to UT and Dave to put one together before I need it instead of trying to tough out withdrawal when the time comes.

The shakes I was able to deal with. The raging headaches that resulted from having to use dialup on the other hand ...

If there's no [or not too much] gaming involved, the 8 Meg ATI and 128 Megs will work just fine, and they're damn cheap to boot. I think I even have two of them in my parts box.

Exactly.

We played kspaceduel until 3 am a few weeks ago, but that's all.

(The game ended in an 87-87 tie)

Dear Satan,

Could you kindly return the Undertoad we know and love? Passive-aggressive-psychotic Undertoad is no fun. There are plenty of other maggots you can pick from on this board, myself excluded.

Also, why did you drive Wolf so batty that she couldn't go a mere week without a computer? That's not cool.

I'll get you, you motherfucker...

Regards,
Sycamore

Dear Satan,

Please disregard the inquiry from my arch-nemesis, sycamore. He is ugly.

Dave

Dear Satan,

You may have Dave, since he tried to kill me over the weekend.

Thanks,
Sycamore

Dear Satan,

Why didn't you help me in my conquest? You're a big wuss.

passive-aggressive? No. I think you can file it under "keeping it real".
