I once had a female patient named (no lie) Tequila. If only her last name had been "Shooters" woulda been perfect. We should get a book of names going...

My boss who went crazy and stopped showing up had such a notebook. I discussed it here somewhere, and as usual, despite searching for several unique names I'm pretty sure I used in the post, I can't find the darn thing.

Your boss went crazy and stopped showing up? How can I learn to do that? Are you working for the State? I worked the State Psych Hosp. here in Ohio. Every bipolar coming up or down I-75 would be suddenly gripped with mania right as they stopped at our town and I got to admit them.

I work for a small (73 bed) private not-for-profit emergency psychiatric hospital. I'm a mental health commitment officer and crisis intervention caseworker.

We seem to have an operational nut-magnet too.

Why would your boss stop showing up? It seems he would stop leaving at night.

Well, here's a photo of me during those years with my younger brother. He's wearing my glasses and he's taller than I am so he is on his knees. I'm the one in the blue shirt.

For a minute there, I thought you were dogging Radar's pic.

By golly, you actually *do* bear a sort of resemblence to Gary Burghoff in his younger years, doncha?

Burghoff is an interesting character. He makes his living doing small-scale theater, mostly dinner theater, these days, and he travels the country in a big motor home with his dog, staying in local RV parks near where he is performing. He was in KC awhile back for a stint, and stayed in a park I am familiar with. From all accounts, he was a pretty nice guy.
