She is beautiful! Whereever did you get the idea that she was ugly?
I am, however, coming up empty on possible names. I agree, that as an Australian breed, Sheila would be a great name for her. Now, considering her potential employment as the Scourge of Armadillos, "Dilly" came to mind. And she does seem to be a real dilly of a dog.

Best armadillo chaser I ever had was named Sparky. He would harry them until they stuck their head in a hole, then hold them by the tail till I got there with the shotgun. As soon as I grabbed the tail, he'd let go and back off. *whump* is the sound a .410 shotgun makes in an armadillo-filled hole in the ground.
My granddaddy named all the dogs. They were all Lady, Sparky, Sugarboy, Shep....you know, "dog" names. The first time I heard of a dog with a person's name, I thought it was hilarious. Now the so-called "dog" names sound wrong.

Sheila is at top of the list for now. Because it's Australian slang for girl, lady. Along with bird, I think.

I think Sheila is the best pick so far.

And for the rabid Tonchi, I got an email from my mom with some animal rescue pics on it, and posted them to my webpage.

Wolf you win the name the mutt deal, for the reasons I posted above. She's a little skidish today and poor as a church mouse. But I can fix that. She's found the water and food. And Shelia isn't far from Stella. Really I don't think dogs get to carried away w/their names anyway. Just your tone of voice when you scream at'em. "But the bitch is ugly." and ya can't wash it off. Like me
Had no idea that we would get PETA involved in a flapping dogs name, what a ride bb

Well I had been trying to clean up my yard for days. A guy I know came by with a bunch of hands" Be PC now" from fema and cleaned up my yard. So I told him to pick the best hands and I would grill sausage for them when they knocked off. I went and got 27 bucks worth of sausage and some beer. No one showed up, so I went for ice. At this time was no power here. Anyway I, like a dumb ass carried a beer with me. And got stuck for OC and DUI by city. I got away clean on city, have to go to AA for 6 meetings but still waiting on state. I tried to get the cop not to swip the damn thing till we talked to some folks. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
