Someone added a song. We've seen pictures of this parade but it hasn't been presented this way.

It's a puppet guys :p

Something about the puppet and the song is whimsy to me but that is the girl in me I guess. I loved dolls.

I shouldn't scoff. Once when I was little I had one of those 'life sized dolls'
It creeped me out so bad. One day I remember my dad was going to the dump. I aked him to please take it and he did!? I didn't think much about it now but looking back I wonder why he was so willing to chuck the thing too.

I almost forgot the reason I came to this thread. I found some olde tyme movies!!

If he's anything like me he gets creeped out too. My daughters got a baby doll that weighs the same as the real deal with realistic skin eyes hair etc... It really gives me the willies.

If I remember correctly, Battleship Potemkin is mentioned in Clancy's Red Storm Rising. I'll have to watch it when I get a chance.

Thanks for the link Skysidhe.

In the cartoons section, as a matter of fact the first one, is Betty Boop in Minnie the Moocher.

The first couple minutes are Cab Calloway and his band on film, not animated, in which Cab struts his stuff. He even does a forward version of moon walking......great stuff.

Frank Zappa on Crossfire from 1986

Zappa: The biggest threat to America today is not communism; it's moving America towards a fascist theocracy and everything that has happened during the Reagan administration. Is steering us right down that pipe

If there's anything scarier than FZ as a prophet, I'm not sure what it would be.
