It's the ghost of someone who died from a heart attack the previous year.

i would have remembered that. most women just pass out.. there's not a lot of screaming or eyes bulging....

One of the comments said they were reacting to a "speeding car" coming straight at them.

It's pitch black, they are holding on to one another as they shuffle blindly forward, and then a pair of headlights comes straight at them, probably with a roaring engine sound too.
