Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

It's bad. Very Very Bad. ( Just teasing )

but good news. You are so not like him! You might LIKE him but I don't think there is anyone as wordy as flint ...except for me maybe.

When I say wordy I mean a bunch of fricken nonsense. Which is really sick I know.

heh heh

You're both drunken Aussies.

My reasoning:

Quote:
Undertoad - HappyMonkey: The two people who most frequently change my mind on a topic.
Pie - Ibram: They seem philosophically similar re: religion and social tolerance
Aliantha - Ducksnuts: drunken Aussies, like I said
footfootfoot - glatt: I see them both as craftsmen, that's the best I can explain it
dar512 - SteveDallas: Both have beards, and seem emotionally understated--you'll never see either one fly off the handle
Shawnee123 - stormieweather: Uh, white women in their 30s. I can't really articulate it, it just seems like they'd be friends in real life
Elspode - richlevy: Both have beards, and are dedicated to caring for their special needs kids. On the liberal side of the political spectrum.
mrnoodle - Lookout123: I feel they both get a bad rap sometimes for views that are only moderately conservative
busterb - zippyt: I have to work hard to decipher what both are saying, but it's always worth it
jinx - Clodfobble: I identify with her somewhat alternative non-soccer-mom approach to parenting
Labrat - limey: Nice young women. Both blonde, I think? The list was hard, dammit!
Urbane Guerrilla - Pangloss62: Both have a bigoted side that I disagree with vehemently, but unlike trolls they are capable of completely putting that part of them aside in discussions where it isn't relevant. I can appreciate that.
Flint - Brianna: Both are carefree posters who enjoy being entertaining (and are entertaining, at that)
Griff - SundaeGirl: Just fundamentally good, friendly folk. It's like SundaeGirl is midwestern, she just doesn't know it.
lumberjim - beestie: I dunno. I like 'em both, they have that in common. Another pairing I can't really articulate, I just imagine they'd get along very well.
tw - marichiko: They both frequently wax lengthy in their posts, and I admit I skim those
Wolf - xoxoxoBruce: In my mind, they both have a sign on their gate that says, "Do whatever you want, just leave me the hell out of it."
Spexxvet - Radar: They both have a tendency to phrase their arguments in terms of "reality IS this way" instead of "I think things SHOULD BE this way."

Hey, I write short things sometimes. I'm sure I can find an example, here, somewhere. I'll get back to you.

PS I am actually deeply honored to be paired with tw. He may be long-winded, but he's also very intelligent and does his research.

PSS Howcome I keep getting mentioned here when I wasn't even on the list?

There, that was short - sort of.

Undertoad - Griff; Both are wise and soft-spoken but niether should be taken lightly. Forgetting UT's real role, there would be a serious absence in the Cellar without either. LJ noticed it too some years ago.
jinx - Wolf; Between the two of them I find a complete compilation of wisdom and knowledge concerning "life" issues. When either speaks, I listen.
Stevedallas - Pie; Both are cool and both have a "surprising" side to them.
UrbaneGuerrilla - tw; Some people have opinions while others have become manifestations of their opinions - almost as if the opinions have them. With them, there is no debate - only recitation.
Flint - Ibram; So different yet so not different. Both are young, bright and expressive. I appreciate both equally but for different reasons.
Lookout123 - footfootfoot; They share an inner strength that while never directly expressed, manages to make itself known.
lumberjim - zippyt; If I ever forget for one second what is important in life or need help resetting my priorities, I know who to call. These two keep me coming back. My compass gets some noise in it from time to time. I have the impression that LJ's and Zippy's life compass seldom veers from true North.
Labrat - Brianna; Both have a good heart but I have gotten the idea that both Labrat and Brianna long for something. I have the sense that there are good things they have yet to discover within themselves. Things they will wonder how they did without.
xoxoxoBruce - busterb; Both are wise and strong with just a little crust. Both are good candidates to provide the voice of experience. Both can say a lot more than they choose to.
Clodfobble - beestie; I posted a long time ago that CF was one of my favorite posters. Still is.
HappyMonkey - glatt; Both display a rare ability to make extremely salient and defensible posts with an economy of words. They make their point without preaching and tend to comment with some degree of correlation topicwise. They post when they have something to say. I would guess that neither is well aquainted with his post count.
Pangloss - Radar; I see many similarities between Radar and Pangloss. On a personal level and on a political level.
Elspode - richlevy; Both show a dedication to their personal situation that is both honorable and exemplary. Both have earned my admiration and respect.

I didn't comment on every pairing - the ones I didn't include were not as conclusive.

marichiko, you're one of the more memorable Dwellars, and therefore easy to associate. Heck, I bet that your name was supposed to be in the VIII slot. Lumberjim probably didn't mean for his list to have duplicate names.

I can't imagine why LJ wrote Flint's name twice... except that he associates marichiko with Flint!

okay, not all from the list....and by no means comprehensive

rkzenrage + Happymonkey Because they both seem very levelheaded and their posts usually give me food for thought.
Urbane Guerilla + tw. Because they exist at entirely opposite ends of the spectrum.
SundaeGirl + Aliantha. I dont know why, but there's something about each of them that puts me in mind of the other....that's the best i can explain it other than they're both hip chicks.
Radar + Wolf. I rarely agree with either of them, but at least they're consistent and their points are usually well argued (especially since Radar started mellowing:P)
Brianna + Skysidhe. Don't know why, just think they seem quite alike in someways. Both really nice lasses, but easy to wind up:P

I'm sure I'll come up with some other pairings later, but this will have to do for now

Same here.

Inner strength. I can work with that.

I feel I've been favorably paired in every case. There are so many terriffic folks here it would be hard to find offense.

Labrat - Happy Monkey - They both swoop in, from nowhere, make a pointed, concise, clever, understated, sometimes sarcastic, interesting or amusing comment, and then they're gone for a while.

BigV - Radar - They both have a strong distrust of Big Brother.

Ducknuts - Aliantha - Both Aussie ladies with strong personalities, who are sexy, and have posted their nipples.

UG - MaggieL - Both very conservative and don't accept other viewpoints. They consider anyone who disagrees with them to be stupid or just plain wrong.

Bruce - Wolf - The Cellar's Mom and Dad. They're pretty even-keeled, even when they feel strongly about a subject. They both have much wisdom.

Ibram - Pie - Both are wise beyond their years. They are objective in their debating style.

SteveDallas - RichLevy - Both are fact-based in their posts. They have a sound basis for any position they take.

MrNoodle - 9th Engineer - Both profess to be conservative, but don't seem to live the conservative lifestyle.

Stormieweather - Clodfobble - I don't know.

Griff - Elspode - Both thoughtful, reserved, caring, and helpful.

Undertoad - footfootfoot - Like Griff and Elspode, but with an edge. They're not shy about calling you an asshole.

Brianna - KinkyVixen - Both are interesting, sexy women who don't mind sharing their ups and downs with the rest of us.

Marichiko - tw - Both very liberal.

Shanee123 - Lumbejim, Flint - The funniest Cellarites. They provide comic relief, even at their own expense, in the middle of a serious argument. They're not dimwitted jesters, they make good points - they just know how to have fun.

Well, I'm more than double his age (gaaak!) so I guess I'll take that with the required grain of salt. Still'n'all, Ibram's a cool kid, so it's all good.

I've tried to do this matching thing, but other than some of the absolute standout personalities, I keep coming back to "Well, Zaphod's just this guy, you know?"
You're all as individual as snowflakes.

Indeed. Stuff like this is a mental blank spot for me. But I must say that I am extremely complimented by all my pairings, and especially the explanations!
