The color started off as beer, but now it's coffee with cream. Actually I like to think that it's the color of the mug, not some beverage in the mug since the mug is transparent.

Also, it's meant to be a half-assed cartoony thing, so no complaints about the sucky job done with it.

paypal takes my credit card and/or debit card with no account numbers necessary. you only have to provide your account numbers if you want to be verified. you don't need that for most things.

Yep. That's how I use paypal. I used to do the whole bank account thing. But when I changed my bank account, I never got around to validating it. Haven't missed it. Just use my debit card.

my org is a 501c3 but have never told google so. I know Googgle is staying free for donations for 501c3s until 2009, but for all others, it's free until end 2007 then 2% + 20c per transaction -less than paypal. No mention of charitable status.

Did they move the goalposts and I missed it? ......No, Britnet just started using google and they're not 501c3 either.

am confused

Do they just take donations or do they sell stuff? Maybe we here could "sell" subscriptions or something, but then it becomes a whole 'nother problem.

hmm, yes Britnet "sells subscriptions", but you can pick your rate in multiples of $5 and all get the same access. Peeps in Texas have to add sales tax. I invoive people specific amounts, so that's not the same either.

oh well, worth a try

What we need are incentives like custom user titles available only to contributors.

How about something like -

Congratulations. For your support of the Cellar and the Whale Penis you have been named an Honorary Doctor of Cetacean Priapism.

Congratulations. For your support of the Cellar, home of Labrat's ass, you have been named a Patron of the Arse.

Thanks to all of you generous benefactors!

It will reset on Nov. 1... to a point already well more than half full!
