Sorry it's taken me so long to post (can't post from home and posting from work is difficult). Hope that you're feeling better really, really soon.

Els...have you tired 13 naked virgins dancing around you in a circle under the full moon...?

I *am* back home...have been since Wednesday afternoon. Been sleeping a lot, and catching up a lot on mundania that has lapsed while in hospital, and on insurance crap, because getting sick without insurance crap cropping up is apparently impossible.

I'm on some rather amazing new medication that was specifically designed for my particular condition (deterioration of small vessels of the heart, causing angina), as well as diabetic meds that are new to me. I am also now off of one diabetic med that is causing increasing concern about it actually damaging the heart.

Bottom line...much, much less booze, much, much less carbs, and a lot more physical activity are the rule of the day. Dropped six pounds in a week, and since I'm eating shrubbery now instead of crackers, I expect to keep that pace up for a while at least. Less tonnage equals happier heart. More activity means developing more and better blood vessels to support the damaged buggers.

I'll try to be more attentive here in the future. Life is busy, and gets busier, but it would be rude for me not to acknowledge my many friends and supporters here who pull for me and mine when the chips are down. Y'all rock!

Yeah and where is a guy going to find 13 Virgins (of suitable age) nowadays, hmm? Especially since they're all being fast-tracked to the afterlife to put out for the martyrs.
