Sorry, UT. That's irritating. Hope it clears up quickly.

I'm a little bored, playing with my phone, while donating a pint of blood at work.

Doc confirmed I probably coughed it from my nose/ears/throat into my eyes. Still have swelling in ears and throat.

Sorry Toad, pink eye sucks. Did they give you the antibiotic drops, or tell you to just wait it out?

Doc did set me up with eye drops. Expensive ones! Not sure if they're antibiotic, I think they're steroidal? Doc said it would go away on its own, but this would shorten the wait by maybe half.

To review this illness, it's not that bad. I can't really do much, and it does cut into my online time because sometimes my vision gets a little blurry. Sometimes my eyes are itchy and sometimes a little painful.

But that's nothing compared to flu or something that puts you in bed and all nauseous and achy. The worst part of this is that it sidelines me.

Overnight it crusts over my eyes and I have to de-crust with a hot washcloth. I like that part.

Fairly strong antibiotic geared toward staph.

Wash everything you touch with your hands. And stop picking your nose and sticking it in your eye.

Most pink eye starts out viral, but it's easy to get a secondary bacterial infection; hence the antibiotic drops. If there's heavy crusting after sleep, chances are there are bacteria around.

Wash, wash, wash your hands; don't touch your face; bleach every surface that can take it.

Minifob's had pink eye three times since school started. I've known several other adults with it this season as well. All hail our new Staph overlords.
