I call excuses of a unadmitted tightwad.

As a recovering tightwad, I know one when I see one. If nobody is making you part with your money, but there is a clear suggestion that the world (or at least your psyche) would be a better place if you did, then you have to find some other justification not to cough up.

When you've been here a while and posted over a thousand times, isn't not tipping a bit like not paying your dentist bill? Except that the dentist would sue your ass where as here only your conscience comes after you. It may not have been roses all the way, but there's clearly something you get out of it or you wouldn't keep coming back. Dentists stop your teeth falling out. The cellar stops your _ _ _ _ _* falling out.

There should be a 12-step program for tightwads. Oh wait, isn't that Scientology?

But you know, you can lead a horse to water...... It's like cheating on your homework -the only person your really cheating is yourself.

Wow. Way to take a thread about good things and bright futures and turn it into a freaking one-woman pity party.

Can we get back to what we were talking about before someone selfishly derailed the discussion?

I think a net figure would be helpful in the form on a red or blue bar that only regulars would understand - perhaps via an explanatory PM after the 100th post as a completely random example. The bar could be placed inconspicuously on the main or a sub-page.

When its red, folks can step up as they feel inclined. When its really blue, UT can load up on Scotch and Cohibas.

Just include the scotch in the accounting - it's a legitimate business expense.

May I humbly suggest an ammendment to this bold and noble statement? Stand your ground, let your actions speak louder than your words. But define yourself. Let everyone else on this system observe your actions. Let everyone else on this system draw their own conclusions as to who and what you actually are, in their eyes. But please don't delude yourself that others determine who and what you are.

You're right. It is a good way to be. I recommend it also.

cellar.org once again saw over 10,000 unique visitors yesterday despite me posting the image late when the previous image was early. Unlike any other weekend since the foam, both weekend days had over 10,000. (Unlike normal weekends, I posted an image on Sunday)

There's nothing funny about mitral valve prolapse!

Uterine prolapse is no walk in the park either, I tell ya.
