i don't know which it is. but cats move so damn fast it is amazing. they'll just circle the scorpion and before you even realize the cat is moving it has slapped the scorpion a couple feet across teh ground. they just keep doing until the little bugger is dead.

Crawdads (crayfish) have a fan shaped tail, like the one in the picture, whereas scorpions have their famous stinger.
