im gonna try your suggestion there, zen. invite her up to watch a movie or something.
she hasnt seen raising arizona, i dont think. if i can dig out our DVD of it i might try that this coming weekend....

I was going to say, avoid anything with a mugging scene, since it might upset her after her recent experience.

Then I thought, yeah, and when she's upset, you can "comfort" her.

Ibby, honey, I don't want to sound like a nagging old trout, but go easy on the spirits and bull. The line between inebriation and alcoholic poisoning is a lot thinner than you might think. And Bull is pretty toxic in large amounts.

About half a bottle of spirits gulped down in say, 30 minutes, will. kill. you.

Acute alcohol poisoning kills 15 to 20 Australians every year. Chronic alcohol poisoning, on the other hand, probably kills tens of thousands.

Energy drinks bugger your kidneys and cause heart attacks.

Stick to sex and cannabis.

typhoon's no big thing, just a bit of rain. taipei proper doesnt usually get anything worse than a bit of water and some downed branches.

so i've decided that
since i look damn good in a suit
i'm gonna take her out to dinner again soonish
to somewhere really nice, swanky, fancy
nominally, more as just a chance to play dress-up and such
but, obviously, more about her than anything else.

now i just gotta find the place and the cash...

True. It's not always about the big gesture (that's what you want).
I liked the slobbing out with a good movie idea better.
Women are far more likely to find you hot as a person, rather than as an image. Some men change their minds about a woman just because of their clothes, women tend to rely more on behaviour.

You're quite right. I originally wrote, "Men can change their minds about a woman just because of their clothes" but that was perhaps unfairly weighted. Amended it after reading Classicman's response.

But I thought you made a good point because Ib's paramour doesn't like to go out and has recently been mugged. Suggests she'd at least be amenable to a night in watching a movie rather than being on display.
