Incidentally, the coolest newspaper boxes are those in Old City that house the Philadelphia Independent. Crazy shit.

I guess I wasn't too clear ...

One would have to hold his/her hands four inches closer *together* to read the paper. Less width-wise spread, the less of your newspaper is in my face on a rush-hour SEPTA train.

Coolest newspaper boxes were the ones I had made for my college newspaper ... FUCKING AWESOME. Circulation jumped like 25% when we started putting those out around campus.

Not that we charged $$ for newspapers, but our delivery guys had to stock each box with more and more papers every week. By the end of my term, we were distributing all but 100 of our 9,000 press run. PRetty coooooool.

Newspaper boxes. And while we're not on the subject, Target rules.

Fucking great! So now I'm not going to be able to read as easily over peoples' shoulders!

Yuhao, the story about the illegal Wal-Mart workers being arrested brought comments from breakingnews, who works for a newspaper in suburban Philadelphia. The newspaper for whom he works is sold in my neighborhood and I happened to bring up their retarded-looking newspaper boxes, which lead to some more comments. Breakingnews noted that they're changing the size of that paper, which a couple of us commented on as well.

Of course, you could have easily noticed all this by reading all the posts, but I understand...you're a hard-working college student. That, or you're having some English problems.

Oh, ok. Thought you meant smaller fonts.

A lot of my older friends work at Wal-Mart. They are all Hispanic and afriad that if they ask for a raise they will get fired. They all have been working at the same one for over 5 years still making $6 an hour. I told them ask for a raise if they fire you take them to court. They asked they got. Trial and error is what I say!

Well, if they're here legally, they've got a better shot than the rest of the lot.
