We are now getting 3X the yield from an acre of wheat than we were 35 years ago. That same acre of wheat, at triple the yield has 1/3 the nutrients... Eat more calories (3x) to gain the same nutrients. For the first time in human history morbidly obese people are showing up at clinics with diseases such as scurvy and rickets, normally associated with malnutrition
