[PseudoPsychEval]Merc has decided to become part of a forum where his political view is in the minority. This could be because he really enjoys the friction that ensues...its an outlet for him. It allows him to release his frustration and anger in a 'safe' environment. Unfortunately, he seems to lack the ability to keep it tightly reigned in, and so, his vitriolic manner sometimes spills over in inappropriate ways.[/PseudoPsychEval]

I disagree with Merc on pretty much everything except NPR and food. Merc's biggest curse, however, is that you can tell what he's going to say on a topic without having to read his posts. He shares this curse with UG, tw, and a few others. When someone is that positive about complex issues, you just know they're just spewing bias and not reflective thought.

The other tip-off is name calling. It's an obvious indicator.

I think his reactions are knee-jerk, most of the time... about politics.

I find his comments and/or stories interesting and informative... when they're not related to politics.
