As for cranberry muffins: my brother stumped my father, my wife, and myself. After he blurted out what it was (we never would have given up) I immediately thought "cranberry muffins... Swear to God we were just looking for Lebanon Bologna at Tom Thumb (variant of Randall's, Safeway) and they didn't have any. My wife was gonna make me a Lebanon Bologna and Genoa Salami sandwich. (As for it being a local thing, she lived in NewYork City several years before I met her)
