ANOTHER TORNADO WARNING! This time we were at pottery, no basement there, so felt justified in just staying indoors and ignoring it

Yesterday the tornado sirens went off while I was at my friend's wedding reception at a country club. No basement so they moved us to the bar on the first level...

If there is a tornado warning I can't hear it: though I can hear the cops at the shooting range all day every weekend and I can hear the St Drunky's church festival music...once the rain and wind start I get no noise from town.

Last night...CRACK BOOM lightning hit the pole almost right in front of my place. Lost electric. It was the COOLNESSNESS.

edit: even if I could hear the tornado sirens there is absolutely no where to go, so I just sit and thrill in the danger.

I DID! I couldn't even report in that I was sitting in darkness, that the end might be nigh.

I couldn't post that "if'n the tornado revolution come, it was nice making y'all's acquaintances, and I'll see you on the flip side."

I watched them fixing the electric. I thought "this must be what people did for entertainment, before electric, watched the electric guys fix the...wait, that isn't logical."

If anyone has the bad luck to be hit by lightning sitting in my own home, it would be me. It explains a LOT, if you think about it.

Aw shucks!

My dad has told me a couple times that if my luck ever changes for the better it'll have to be really good!

I don't really believe in luck except that the laws of coincidences say that there are people who can't get a break no matter how hard they work for it and those who get tons of breaks while doing nothing much at all, as far as the extremes.

So I'll either get hit by lightning or win a bunch of money. Either way, I'm good with it.

Now THAT sounds about right. Think how famous I'll be for like 15-20 minutes (can't I get an extra 5 of fame?) and how many forum's "weird news" threads I'll make!
