Torontonians are slowly waking up to the reality that their baseball team sucks.
The one and only reason why i've been stressing that fact so strongly, is because the canadian media is doing the opposite by calling this hugely under par team, play-off bound.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Atlanta Braves vs Toronto Blue Jays
Jurjjens - Richmond

There is no emotion attached to this.
The Braves are not some amazing team that they should go around sweeping teams, its just that the blue jays are truly at the pit of the major leagues.
A tiny glimpse of batting form will not change the reality that the jays bats are not that good.
Whats even worse, is their non-existant pitching staff.
Its time to rebuild guys.

Bet on the Atlanta Braves

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

in case i didn't mention it, this will be the jays 6th loss in a row.

WHIP, I haven't been around for a while, but it appears your nemeses have abandoned us. Did you have them killed?

its good to see you girl, welcome back.

things are not looking good for our team
the redskins have set a whole new level of defence for our division, and i'm sad to say that the play-offs are unattainable for the eagles.

as for your question, i'm afraid i can't answer that

Alrightly then, I'll refrain from adding Eagles players to my FF teams--but I'll still cheer them every Sunday!

I still have a little place in my heart for the Skins, though, having lived in DC for almost 20 years. Don't hate me for that...

bluecuracao....donovan and westbrook, should they both remain healthy, will put up great numbers despite the .500 season coming up.
i'll cheer as well, but you gotta be realistic when money's on the line.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

btw... no suprise in atlanta, as the blue jays lost their 6th game in a row.
i think ya'll got the point.... no need to keep giving their losses as betting tips, they'll happen 2 out of every 3 games for the rest of the season.

i think we're on a bit of a roll here... lets try to keep it up.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

milwaukee brewers vs st.louis cardinals
gallardo - carpenter

this is a home run park.
carpenter will have a tough time maintaining his 0.00 era as he'll be facing fielder and braun.
however, he should do well, and the cardinals should get the win.

bet on the st.louis cardinals

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

clevland indians vs tampa bay rays
carmona - price

not too many people know who price is.
i do... he's the future of this franchise.
the rays will make the post-season, mark my words.

bet on the tampa bay rays

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

in case i didn't mention it... bet against the jays

so the jays lost their 7th game in a row....and counting.

chris carpenter pitched 8 innings, he got 10 k's, allowed 0 runs, 0 walks, and just 2 hits, maintaining his perfect 0.00 era.
however, gallardo pitched just as well sending the games to extra innings, where a run won it for milwaukee.

young price had control issues rising his pitch count to 100 in the 4th inning... he only allowed two runs though...keep an eye out for this guy as he will certainly make some noise in his career.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

la angels vs chicago white sox
saunders vs colon

saunders looked amazing in his last outing, shutting down the mariners in a 3-0 win.
colon gets to face his old team, but he is outmatched by this superior starter.

bet on the la angels

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

san fransisco giants vs atlanta braves
lincecum - medlen

i believe i'm around 95 percent picking out lincecum's wins and losses.
i think i've got all of his wins, while i've picked 1 of his 2 losses over the years of tips.
seriously, if you wanna watch an ace, after carpenter, this is the best there is at this time.

bet on the san fransisco giants

8th loss in a row for the blue jays, who will end up the underdog in a two horse race with the orioles for last place in the division.

the angels lost 4-2, although saunders wasn't that bad.

lincecum shut out the braves over 8 innings, recording another 8 k's.
a friend of mine told me that he wishes lincecum would stop trying to strike everyone out.
the way i see it, if you strike them out, they're not going to be scoring any runs.
lincecum will have one of the best era's in the leagues when the seasons over, and he should rank top 3 in strike-out per inning ratio.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

baltimore orioles vs toronto blue jays
hill - halladay

notice how they're playing in baltimore.
notice the 8 game lost in a row by the jays.
now, notice the huge huge price on the orioles win.
yeah yeah, whatever... you're all betting on the jays coming out of the slump.
get it together...its not a slump, its the jays.
halladay is a border-line top 10 pitcher, and yes, he's about all that the jays have at this time.
this is not a pre-determined game.
the jays are not a better team than the orioles.

nash is not the best point guard in the nba.
bay is not the best outfielder in baseball.
luongo is not the best goalie in hockey.
and of course, halladay is not the best pitcher in baseball.

the vancouver canucks are not going to twin the stanly cup.
the blue jays are not going to make the post season

stop listening to the canadian media.

bet on the baltimore orioles

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

colorado rockies vs la dodgers
kershaw - la dodgers

ubaldo jimenez, after having a rough start, has put together 5 quality starts in a row.
kershaw should do pretty good as well facing this under par line-up, but you have to give the rockies the edge.

bet on the colorado rockies

so the jays lost their 9th game in a row.
the 2nd in a row where halladay started.
the dodgers got the win against ubaldo.

nothing to bet on today, so i'll jump ahead to tommorow [friday's games]

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

toronto blue jays vs boston red sox
janssen - wakefield

i'm not a fan of this red sox knuckle-baller, or the red sox for that matter.
wakefield has looked good out there, and the jays are the jays.
plus, i told my superior officer before this streak started, that the jays were gonna go on a ten game losing streak.... although 9 is pretty accurate, 10 is perfection.

bet on the boston red sox

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

arizona diamondbacks vs atlanta braves
garland - jurjjens

if you look at the braves batting stats over the past couple years, you'll see that they've hit a load of home-runs.
you'll also see that a very very small percentage of them were hit in atlanta.
this park is the kinda park that they hit them in.
add the jurjjens vs weak line-up factor, and you've got a good bet.

bet on the atlanta braves

What? No hockey prediction? C'mon man - lets talk a real sport like Hockey. You can discuss meaningless baseball games for another 6 months.

whats there to talk about.
in 2006, at this site, i called the penguins, stanley cup contenders for 2008, 2009 and 2010.
they were in the stanley cup finals in 08, they're here in 09... i'm not so sure they'll make it next year, but its already pretty accurate, no?

you wanna talk about hockey, lets look at 2011, 2012 and 2013.

eastern conference

atlantic
the penguins cycle is almost over.
these years will find them needing to rebuild.
both ny teams will come into contention in these years as we will see them playing each other in the play-offs at some point.
phillie needs to change a lot of things if they ever want to compete again.
11-13 will find the devils at the pit of this division.

northeast

boston is not going away, they should represent the east in the stanley cup at least once in these years.
ottawa will re-surface and make the play-offs, although i can see them selling a year for a draft pick.
montreal will always be there as they have always been.
i can't see the leafs coming out of mediocrity until they start getting their priorities straight...some good moves have been made, but until i see a few more, they remain condemned ....i will let you know it the second they make a substantial move to leave the pit of the nhl.

southeast

11-13 will find this division in a two team battle...washington and tampa bay not only will fight for this division, but they're also stanley cup contenders.
atlanta is on pace at creating a very good team...if they really want to make this team competitive, they should finish at the bottom for the next couple years to strengthen up even more.
florida and carolina have rough years ahead.

western conference

central

as i've mentioned before, detroit has been surpassed by chicago.
detroit is on the fall where chicago is on the rise.
they will have some competition from the young st.louis blues.
i can't rule out the blue jackets either as they've done some amazing work at building this team.
nashville is going to have a tough time in this division these following years.

northwest

minnesota stands alone here in this very weak division.
i can't see how this team can miss the play-offs in any of the 11-13 years.
calgary needs to sacrifice a year to fill in some of the holes in the team....if they would have done it already, they'd be in the stanley cup....i'm not so sure they're gonna do it, which removes them from any positive projection.
colorado has some work to do, but they're already on there way.
edmonton and vancouver will suffer very severely after their costly moves this past year.
edmonton is in a bit of a better position than the canucks who will be at the pit of the nhl for some years to come.

pacific

san jose stands all alone here as they will remain elite.
the stanley cup is innevitable for these sharks.
i'm afraid to say that the ducks are not in contention anymore, however, they could be back in 2013 if they make the right moves between now and then...they already hold some key young talent.
the la kings should be up there around 2nd place in this division.
its hard to say wether that'll be enough for a playoff spot.
phoinex has the great obstacle of gretzky...he's gotta go.
lets hope they move as well.
dallas has some serious issues....i've gotta see how turco evolves over the next few years to determine what capabilities this team will have.

The Braves beat Arizona and the Jays endes their skid.

San Fransisco Giants vs St.Louis Cardinals
Zito-Carpenter

Carpenter looks to maintain his perfect 0.00 ERA.

Bet on the St.Louis Cardinals

Stanley cup
Detroit Red Wings-Pittsburgh Penguins

Detroit is in its worst state over the past 3 years.
This is probably the Penguins last chance to win the cup as young teams look to surpass both these teams in the years to come.

Penguins in 6

right now in detroit we can't use our metal for cars, so we're using our mettle every other way we can. Them wingless birds are dead in the water. It's all about the wings.

Time will tell.

A perfect day as Carpenter got another win for the Cardinals.
He did give up his first run of the season, but he still looks like the best starter in the majors.

Toronto Blue Jays vs Boston Red Sox
Romero-Lester

Another bad streak coming up for the Jays as the Angels are next in line.
Then a bunch of games against the superior Rays.

Bet on the Boston Red Sox

the blue jays got beat up against the red sox 8-2, as their 2nd negative streak of the season starts.

st.louis cardinals vs cincinnati reds
wellemeyer - volquez

its amazing how the reds are still in the race having both phillips and votto missed most of the season.
volquez looks really good out there.

bet on the cincinnati reds

nba finals

la lakers - orlando magic

clevland, orlando, it made no difference who the lakers had to face.
i don't see how they can make this interesting.

lakers in 4 or 5
