It was more a case of finding time. Moving out into a rental, selling our joint home, buying the new place, dealing with solicitors, getting a social life together, all on top of the long hours job.

It's gradually slowed down as each hurdle has been cleared. Seeing the old place sold was a big one (especially as we'd gone into this wonderful recesssion), then moving into a new place. Job now has reduced a bit as I've cut back my hours. Have inherited our dog, who has been fabulous.

Social side was probably the biggest surprise. I thought that this would be a really hard nut to crack, as my wife more or less took control of that, but turned out to be a cynch. I started learning modern jive at a local class - thought there's only be 30 0r 40 peolple there but by mid-eveniing the [lace was throbbing with 250 jivers. That was back in Nov 2008, and I have leaned a lot since then, plus made countless new friends, most of whom are in the same marital state as myself.

Sorry to hear about the divorce, Cycle. I hope everything is as well for you as can be.

I remember you posting some very nice pictures where you worked. Will you be closer or farther now?

Thanks Pete. Work not that much further really, timewise, as faster road connection - marginally further in distance.

Hey Bud - was wondering about you awhile ago. Sorry to hear about the divorce.
Last I remember you were posting pics of you and your friends on a recent biking trip.

Hi CM - still doing the trips - have one to write up from 2009 as my webhost closed down it's service and I had to find a new home. Yep, divorce was a bit of a surprise, but have come to terms with it. Have a nice new home near open countryside - will post some pics soon

New website at this location

Bloody hell, It's Cyclefrance!

I'm pretty sure we do remember you and did in fact miss you :P I have a recollection of having the 'whatever happened to Cyclefrance?' conversation in this APB thread, a while ago.

Glad you're back around, mate. Sorry to hear about the divorce (unless you're not sorry, in which case I'm happy for you!).

Does Pete then morph into some unpronounceable symbol?

Hi CF! Good to see you back here.

Wow! Went to cook my dinner and have returned to see that I'm suddenly superbly and satisfyingly surrounded! Hi Pie, Glatt and DanaC - it's already feeling like old times!

I've been lucky enough to stumble into something called Modern Jive over here and now dance with loads of friendly ladies at least 4 times a week! That's certainly helped!
