Congratulations.
We hit 30 in August, and no, I have not figured out how to celebrate it. I'm always worried that the woman will have a sudden attack of good taste or common sense when it comes to men in general and me in particular.

I do believe our women just have a sense of humor.

My personal theory is that you need to go for compatibility as much as for attraction.

So here's the meet cute story for Mrs. Z and me.
At the time I worked for a large company in St. Louis. On this particular Friday, there was an informal department event to be held at one of the local bars. My friend, Terri, from our department had been promoted and liquid refreshment was enjoyed by all. While I was standing around talking to Terri, she said, "Oh look. There's Steve (another friend from the department) talking to some people from the community relations team." So I turn my head to look in that direction. Not only did I see Steve, but I saw a young lady standing next to him with big brown eyes. She had fairly obviously been watching me. As quick as I notice, she snaps her head down to look at her beer. Busted. So I excused myself from Terri, walked over to Steve and asked to be introduced. You know the old movies where two people look into each other's eyes and everything else fades into a mist? It was exactly like that. We talked for hours without interruption. You'd never know there were dozens of other people in the bar. I asked for her number and the rest is history.
