It was hanging in the middle, but due to some architectural issues (that duct, or beam, or whatever in the top right), the spot where I "centered" the hanger, did not line up with where the sculpture would look most centered. I may move the hanger at some point, but it's fine for now.

Kind of reminds me of an old shutter release timer on an SLR camera, so it's probably an interior latch from a suitcase.

I know this one. I have this camera.
It's the shutter release on a Kodak Duaflex II camera, but your model is slightly different from this one I found online. It has small decorative ridges in the metal. |
