As my children and I were studying the first Thanksgiving, one of the things that really stood out to me was that Thanksgiving feasts were held for any major triumph . . . getting through that first winter and then later on when the British were beaten off in the Revolutionary war . . .

We now do special meals for special events, but I don't think we've ever done a Thanksgiving celebration for a triumphant event in our lives. Maybe we should consider that the next time something big happens . . .

And now, going from allegedly profound to simply profane...shouldn't it have been the British who celebrated? After all, they were the ones who'd just received a manual pleasuring.
