Well unless it's some kind of odd capitalisation or something other than them both being the same (user and pass) we're going to ahve to dig a tad deeper. Maybe the popup represents one half the and riddle the other? Not sure.

Doesn't seem to. Alexander the Great lived by the sword, but died by disease.

it has to be there for the reason, I know how people who make things like this think, I've made similar little pizzles myself, it means something.
i've tried things like diebythesword gordianknot but no luck.

Checking back -- it says "He who rules by the sword" -- it doesn't have the "dies by the sword" part. Once you get that, you end up at the page with Alpha Hotel etc.

The answer to your question should be somewhere on this page:

Okay, I've been trying to decode those Vigenere-looking jumbles. In the one where they are divided into separate words, one of the words (in the code) is 'n'.
The only one-letter words in english are 'I' and 'a'. This means somewhere in the keyword is the letter 'f' (if the word is I) or 'n' (if the word is A). Sorry this doesnt help very much, but now you know keywords without an n OR an f are definitely wrong (if the message is english, which it looks like it is). Edit: did a bit more work narrowing this down. If that 'n' is really the word 'a' or 'I', then I found the location of the 'n' or 'f' in the keyword. Since the 'n word' is 48 characters in, and the cooresponding keyword letter has to overlap, then the keyword's 48th letter is n/f. Now, the keyword could be a short word that repeats for the length of the message. In that case, the 3rd, 6th, 12th, or 24th letter would have to be f or n. That should narrow it down considerably! Hello all.
Yeah, it's me. The forums are down and having a conniption fit. PriestX and myself are working on getting them fixed and he's agreed to be the main guy keeping them running. Also, I'm glad you all like the puzzle, but I do have one thing to say. The 219 number is no longer current and calls some random person in Indiana. They've go to the length to actually hunt down the website and send email requesting the constant calls to stop. So, if you really want to call and hear what I sound like or leave a message or whatever, my skype name is: krisboruff Thanks, I repeat, the 219 number no longer works. Thanks

What do you mean "once you get that?"
I've tried every Username/Password combination involving "dies by the sword" and knots that I can think of. |
