Not a pool cue, not even half.
Ok.. a clue it's metal, and it is pretty heavy. I won't be using it for its designed purpose.. .since when did I ever do that anyhow? But I *will* think of something.

actually... both you guys are good candidates for this one. The angle of the photo is somewhat deceptive, and... another clue.. this is not a whole _______, but just part of a ____________.
wow.. must be the bourbon talking, look at all these clues... shit. I got it just because it is an awesome piece of metal. The project, the purpose... that will come. It always does.

Yeah, so it's a metal bar that is part of some purpose you're not going to use it for. That narrows it down to roughly 41 zillion things it could have been. It could have been a contender.

Is it tapered at the end on the floor? The knotches make it look like it should fit into something. It has an emblem on it which we cannot make out and would most likely give away its origin. A fork blank for a motorcycle front end?

If it tapers, it ain't much. It's notched to fit together with what he ain't got and doesn't want/need. The "emblem" looks like it could be a piece of masking tape. Might be a roller/paper guide off a large printer.

Yea, it was obviously a well machined bit of metal and if it is heavy then it is mostly solid. Not cheap.

I've got no idea.
Is it solid or hollow? I'm assuming solid, but the notched end looks like it's got something going on in there other than just a notch. But that could just be the lighting. |

it is utterly solid, except for the well noted notch.
Not tapered. mercy, you're right and wrong on the $$$.. retail, it is $$$, but I paid fractions of a cent on the dollar for it, part of why I was so stoked. Not a roller from a printer, but that is a really good guess. not a fork blank another clue, it is stainless steel.
