blog question
For the forums that are set with a "blog view":
Are these syndicated? <- geeky little Livejournal user that would be into seeing the blogged forums on her syndicated reading list /geek mode off |

No, but they could be, I *think*; it wouldn't be that hard to add the right XML tags, in theory, and to ping whatever needs pung to tell people we're updating. It's all just a matter of me finding the right motivation to do it.

Explain this "syndication" thing to me. If it will help me expand my empire, I'm all for doing it to the Manifestos.

Many blogs, especially the ones that are maintained with automated tools, add tags that allow third party software and stuff to "read" them, and also provide little feeds of XML (i.e., the web where programs are reading instead of people) that tell other sites and software the current list of new posts and stuff.
If we could have these toys, it would increase our listings in automated directories, improve the chances of getting "blogrolled", etc. |

Be careful what you wish for. Sometimes it's better to be the piss boy.

True. Because once you're the top dog, you're constantly battling to keep it.
I just want to expand enough to be comfortable. |
