Yeah, we've still got it and Robert Plant/Jimmy Page UnLedded. These should have made the "meant to be played loud" thread.

Crosby and Nash perform Guinevere, in 1970, one of the finest and most original songs ever conceived IMO. And I generally hate two acoustic + two-part harmony, it's been done to death for decades, but I could listen to this brilliance over and over. The tuning, the meter, the time, the harmony, all are in place and are wonderful. Apparently Crosby got really high and came up with the guitar tuning for this song. He then proceeded to get amazingly high ever since then but hasn't come up with something this magical. |

Seeing CSN in later years, i was struck with the impression that Graham Nash was a no talent hack, and that Stephen Stills carried them. This does nothing to really overcome that.....but i liked it. i can hit that g note in 'she turned her gaze down the slope to the haaaaaaaarbor" and it gives me NHO's, almost every time

If Feelin' Good was Good Enough for Me...
it's good enough for me and Andy McKee.
I got to run sound for Andy last night. If you remember back a ways, Bruce posted a link to a remarkable YouTube video (linked below) of a guy who played a nifty percussive/acoustic guitar instrumental entitled "Drifting". Well, that's Andy. That video was the most viewed music video on YouTube until it was supplanted by another one of his earlier this year. Andy is a 28 year old phenomenon, totally unprepossessing, and the only person with talent I've ever met who is actually shorter than me. If you get a chance to see him, do. I'll post a link to a song or two I videoed last night once I get around to it.

Supertramp is one of those bands whom, should they ever decide to get back together and do a world tour, will be able to command just about any price for a ticket one might imagine.
What a great band.

I like some of their other music too but this song seems to be relevant in any time.
