A very quiet ringtone.
Dude, if they're calling from a single number, just block them. I have a contact in my list called "Telemarketing Assholes," and every time I get spammed from a real number (as opposed to a spoofed one that might actually belong to someone I want to talk to someday) I add them as another cellphone owned by that contact. Block the one contact, and I'm done.

What an absolutely divine idea. It's one I had the second time they called.

My cheap-ass POS fone does not have the luxury of call blocking.

But then again, it was $4.95, and it wasn't even on sale, so...

Their ringtone is a single, very quiet beepboop, never hear it.

I've upped my game.

I used the voice recorder to record about a half-second of near-silence. I now use that recording for that ringtone.

I hear nothing.

I admit, a $4.95 phone IS a good deal.

Yeah, just don't expect much.

Also, it's a flip fone.

I like seeing ppls' reaction to me unfolding my fone.

My LG X Venture smartphone (Android) usually sits at home while my Samsung Sync flip phone goes everywhere with me.

I've mentioned it before: check out the link in my previous post.

When we all had flip phones (not that long ago) we could block numbers by accessing our accounts online using a computer. is that an option with your service?

Probably not. I use Trac-Fone. Notoriously awful customer service. I mean, really bad.

Thanks for that heads up, though. I will look into that.

BTW, just out of curiosity, is your flip phone number entered on the National Do Not Call Registry and did you report the phone number that you saved?

Hah! No, but it rings like one! I've got the old fashioned bell-ringing ringtone as default.

The number's been noted on several websites that do that sort of thing. I'm sure it's already been reported. It's a spoofed number, anyway.

It's not a complete failure. No one from the National Do Not Call Registry has called me.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha...but, then again I may, or may not have a helluva buzz. I can't tell.

And I do not, with 100% certainty, know where GrandCherokeeOne is atm.

I'm reasonably sure, but not 100%.

Worse problems to have.

I rarely get junk calls on my cellphone and never on my landline (yes I still have one! ....but I use Vonage) DNC registry works for me, I think.
