No one will ever be the "next Jordan", but LeBron could be the impact player the NBA needs if the Cavs hadn't taken that golden ticket and used it for a bar napkin. There's no organization to the supporting cast so when James has an off night, no one is established as the pick-up guy and the whole team goes to hell.
Further, the Knicks are a laughingstock anywhere you go, the Spurs aren't that inspiring (For every great Tim Duncan play, I see a blatant flop from Ginobili. It makes me want to throw things.), and all the talent is in half of the league save for the Celtics. A Lakers-Celtics finals could re-energize things, but it'd have to go to 6 or 7. A blowout by the Lakers after the Celtics go through the coronation that is the Eastern Conference playoffs would further cripple the league.
