Updated Start Page
Hi all,
I have some new info. Over on the TINP forums, we were trying to decipher the lyrics to the new sound clip on the start page. Since the forums are still down, I'll post here. After much Googling, I finally found this: Sweet Indiana Home. I found the title and credits but no lyrics, so here's what I can make out...please suggest corrections if you have any. Sweet Indiana Home - Aileen Stanley, 1922 Music and Lyrics by Walter Donaldson Now I know why I'm blue, And I'm melancholy right through. Every fortnight far away, Seems to haunt me night and day. Picture me, can you see, Just how dog-gone happy I'll be? Every night there's a candlelight In all my dreams. It seems I'm back in Indiana, IndianaI miss that little homestead where the heart'll be fed on sunshine I see a lady so fair in a rocking chair there alone I'll leave tonight about eleven, I'll be in heaven Tomorrow morn' at seven when I'm in my home, sweet Indiana home 1 o' clock, you'll find me in a lower berth 2 o' clock, I start to dream for all I'm worth 3 o' clock, we're stopping for a symphony (Everybody's snorin' in a different key!) 4 o' clock, I'm tryin' to open up my eyes 5 o' clock, the Indiana sun will rise 6 o' clock, the engineer will give the alarm 7 o' clock, you'll find me in the [?] I'm going back to Indiana, IndianaI miss that little homestead where the heart'll be fed on sunshine I see a lady so fair in a rocking chair there alone I'll leave tonight, about eleven I'll be in heaven Tomorrow morn' at seven when I see my home, sweet Indiana home I'm not even sure that the lyrics are relevant to the puzzle, but not knowing what they were was bugging me. |
