I would have called that vermicelli noodles in pho soup, just based on the picture. But I have limited experience with Vietnamese food in general.

Hmm...I don't think that's rice vermicelli. Here's an example of the noodle I grabbed from the net.

I just grabbed this from the net. The Viet name for the noodle is "hu tieu."

Hu Tieu The Noodles (Bánh Hủ Tiếu)

There is really only one kind of noodle that is called hu tieu noodle. Once cooked, it is the chewy, clear and somewhat sticky kind that is made of tapioca, not rice. On a shelf in a food market, at first glance it may look like banh pho noodle, just not as white in color, or maybe a thicker bún (vermicelli.) But unless it is specifically labeled “Hủ Tiếu,” it isn’t. Like banh pho noodles and bun, bánh hủ tiếu noodles can be purchase dry or fresh.

Clod, I just eat, I don't even know the names of many of these dishes. I usually have to ask someone for the names and sometimes the ingredients before I post. There you go, my confession.

I see crab in that photo.
You grab that picture it might grab you back.

Delish as always. What was lunch on the 6th December? You didn't come back to say.
My guess is grated carrot, strawberry leaves and turkey meatloaf.

I may be wrong.

The dish with cellophane noodle was Dec. 6th's lunch.

And today, I had chicken "pho," chicken noodle soup. This is eaten with rice vermicelli. I was in a hurry, so I put all the greens in before I poured the broth in. By the time I grabbed my phone, the mints have turned brown. Well, just looks ugly, still can be eaten.

Is this a restaurant, the back room of a restaurant, or like a private someone making meals for people that come to her house? I wonder because it doesn't look like you picked it up and brought it home to eat.

There's a communal kitchen where there's a different person cook each day. I come to pick up my food each day. If I'm not home during food pick-up time, I can call and ask them to set it aside for me. I bring my food home in containers. I then set it out nice and pretty so I can take pictures for y'all. If it weren't for you guys, I would sometimes just dump my food in a big bowl and eat.

Oh yeah, and we forgot to mention tonight's your dish night. (My night was the one with the paper plates.)

I eat plenty bad food. It's just that I've been only posting food I feel is decent. Should I post EVERYTHING I eat, so you'll feel better, Foot?
