I just like the fact that they refer to her as the "pin up pussy"

Hello Kitty is one of those things that I just don't get.

Looking at the character it cries out "insipid". But kids and teens go crazy over them (my friend's daughter has a batch of them, with dress-up outfits, no less).

About the title comment ... I find myself wondering if the translator of the original article does or does not understand the particularly funny American idiom used to described the creature.

Wierd little Japanese characters seem to be one of those unending fads here. We have a shop in Melbourne called Morning Glory dedicated to the sale of Helly kitter merchandise and her minions, all cute and oddly drawn.
I shudder every time i walk past.

Hellish Kitty

Seeing the "Hello Kitty" store in the King of Prussia mall caused be to come up with the "anti-cute grenade". Now when I walk past it I sometimes mime pulling the pin and tossing one into the store.

(should be worth a few positions on the federal watch list...)

I wonder if 99 knows about her s.o.'s strange obsession with Hello Kitty.
