Ah, soy! Full of protein and essential amino acids! It reduces the risk of some cancers and even helps fight MS. The only downside? It gives you The Gay.

Soy is feminizing, and commonly leads to a decrease in the size of the penis, sexual confusion and homosexuality. That's why most of the medical (not socio-spiritual) blame for today's rise in homosexuality must fall upon the rise in soy formula and other soy products. (Most babies are bottle-fed during some part of their infancy, and one-fourth of them are getting soy milk!) Homosexuals often argue that their homosexuality is inborn because "I can't remember a time when I wasn't homosexual." No, homosexuality is always deviant. But now many of them can truthfully say that they can't remember a time when excess estrogen wasn't influencing them.

the traditional Christian would probably argue that the biological condition exists because of sin in the world. It shouldn't exist but it does and no amount of saying it is 100% choice or what you friggin eat will change that.
I would say that when you step back it doesn't matter if it is a sin or not. We're all f'ed up and full of it and there's no point in picking on other people's flaws to bring them down. Then stand on their head while you yourself are no better a person than they.

Every good birth/early childhood book I read stated it was best to limit the soy milk given until your child was five.
This is very old news.
However, hormones have nothing to do with sexual orientation, that is pure ignorance.

Huh? I thought that the cause was as yet unknown. Have hormones been ruled out as even a minor factor?

Every study I have seen or read that seems to show any promise is rooted in brain make-up... some say that is rooted in genetics.
I was born with very low testosterone and it never affected my attraction to women. Though I am very open to the fact that men can be attractive, I have never wanted to have a relationship with one and always only wanted women and that has been consistent throughout my life. I am more "sensitive" in a lot of ways than many men... but I think that has more to do with being raised away from society than my hormone level.
I have never seen a study that even mentioned hormone levels as a factor, and this is a pet project of mine.

What about the big study awhile back that showed that men with older brothers from the same mother were more likely to be gay, regardless of whether they were raised with those brothers or not? The theory behind those results was it had to do with the hormone levels of the mother during pregnancy.

I remember that, but nothing about the son's hormone level. Her level could affect his brain I'm sure. I could be wrong, I just think I would remember anything about hormone levels.

The most consistent biodemographic correlate of sexual orientation in men is the number of older brothers (fraternal birth order). The mechanism underlying this effect remains unknown. In this article, I provide a direct test pitting prenatal against postnatal (e.g., social/rearing) mechanisms. Four samples of homosexual and heterosexual men (total n = 944), including one sample of men raised in nonbiological and blended families (e.g., raised with half- or step-siblings or as adoptees) were studied. Only biological older brothers, and not any other sibling characteristic, including nonbiological older brothers, predicted men’s sexual orientation, regardless of the amount of time reared with these siblings. These results strongly suggest a prenatal origin to the fraternal birth-order effect.

I don't think his study suggests or rules out hormones one way or anoter, but that's an assumption.
