They all look like natual systems, like waterways, except Beijing which is very Borg-like.

Beijing's is the worst. Nobody rides it; it never grew because it had no need to.

In other words, choose both lodging and work that are located on a subway line. There are a lot of places to live out there, and a lot of jobs too.

I live near a stop on the red line. My job isn't near a stop, so I drive, but if I have to go anywhere downtown, the subway is great.

The Philadelphia map is missing stuff--in addition to the subway, there's also regional rail and trolley lines.
