Used to, when I was in the Scouts. We had an annual ski trip.

I haven't made the time since then.

now i'm losing weight, and feeling a good deal more athletic, and i think i'd like to go sometime this year before the season ends......

I attempted to ski when I was in high school. My friends made me go. (yes, I had friends. We were those kids that sat alone in the cafeteria.)

It did not go well.

Being dragged up the tow rope at Spring Mountain was just the start of a not-so lovely day of mostly falling down in the snow.

The chair lift is too fucking high (remember that "fear" thread ... if you could get me up the mountain without involving height, I might consider it).

Sure. My Mom and Dad had a place at Lake of the Ozarks in the middle of Missouri when I was growing up. I started on two skis when I was seven. I slalomed when I was eight. It was always great to be on the water.

Oh. Wait. You mean snow.

Nevermind.

We've had a good run of weather for it so far. Lets hope tomorrow doesn't ruin it.

Rest of Tonight
Cloudy with snow developing around midnight. Snow will be heavy at times. Snow accumulation 3 to 6 inches. Lows around 20. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Friday
Snow...heavy at times until mid-morning. Snow will change to sleet around mid morning...then to freezing rain early in the afternoon. Total snow and sleet accumulation 4 to 8 inches with some ice accumulation. Highs in the upper 20s. Southeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
