Starting a Band

To make a little extra cash, I've decided to start a small band. We'll be playing for cash in local bars. I lean towards Goth Metal. Sabaton and Nightwish are my biggest influences. I've even thought about being a tribute band. Any suggestions?

Oooh, a tribute band for The Sex Pistols...You could call your first album "Nevermind The Badge, Here Comes Big Sarge".

I have no idea what Goth Metal is ... but it should be fun. That's the point, isn't it? You go, Sarge!

I understand but we are going to play within a 50 mile radius and we already have our instruments. Even though we will be metal, we are acoustic. I have 2 madrigal singers for vocalists. Our lead guitar is a banjo and our bass is my cello [laying in the low registry. Our drummer is off the charts!!!! He was a French-Indian War re-enactor and he has authentic Chickasaw Indian drums. There is no one like us for miles and I bet we will clean up on tips in some BBQ joints.

The first song we are working on is "Amaranth

Don't forget to remove the chickens' tinfoil hats if they will be using amplifiers.

There you go. Let customers pick their own chicken out of the dancers’ cage, like picking a lobster out of a tank, and you’ve got a dinner theater!
