May 4th, 2019: Graffiti Plane

Gooze Art (George Kurinov) graffitied this Yak 52 airplane with a badass Dragon.
He’s a muralist, illustrator, street artist, and graffiti artist from the city of krasnodar in South Russia.

It’s common to find graffiti under a bridge or on a building facade, but there aren’t too many aircrafts streaking a turquoise dragon with purple feathers across the sky. For George Kurinov of GOOZE ART, it’s just another day at work. While this may be his first plane, it probably isn’t his first or last dragon, as most of his subject matter seems to revolve around surreal palettes, animals, and mythologies.

What really boggles my mind is he did this with spray cans. My experience with spray cans is paint all the things. I had very
little control of the pattern or density across the pattern. I wonder if those are special cans/nozzles for artists?

No wonder he gets work around the world. But since he lives in Communist/Socialist territory, how do the 774,000 people in
Krasnodor decide what and where he paints, or do they let him work where he can and just split the money when he’s done?
