Damn... I want someone else to try it first, but I guess I'll have to take the plunge. I'm sure I'll like the banana cream pie one, but the key lime one (as much as I like key lime) sounds scary!

I tried it...it actually wasn't that bad.

Graham crackers, cheesecakey type chunks, and some...odd somewhat limey flavoring..

Okay, yeah, now that i think about it, it was gross.

You can't go wrong with chocolate.

Oh wait. You can. As difficult as it is to believe there are some flavors that do not mix well with chocolate.

I've never been able to tolerate chocolate dipped strawberries. Most people I know rave about them but I must have messed up tastebuds.

Do you like the strawberries plain? It might just be one of those food in other food aversions, like the one I have to raisins ... or a texture issue.

The only way I don't like strawberries is when they're dipped in chocolate. So I'm pretty sure it's a taste thing. There's something about the slight sour taste in a strawberry that clashes with the bright sweetness of the chocolate. The problem might be that I've only had strawberries dipped in milk chocolate. Perhaps if they were dipped in some good high quality dark I'd like them.

I am a big fan of raisins. What's your issue with them?

I love raisins and grapes are ok but wine is most definitely not my thing. Wine never tastes like anything to me. Granted, I've only tried the house wine at a couple of Italian restaurants where they practically force it in to you.

I had sort of a chocolate strawberry adversion too until I had some that were really good. First, the chocolate layer has to be thin, hard and cold. The berries have to be firm and slightly sweet. There is nothing worse than a mushy berry in a shell of chocolate. Finally, dark chocolate is much better than milk for dipping and even white chocolate is pretty good too - provides a good contrast.

They're okay alone, although my preference is for other dried fruits like pineapple, peaches, mango, etc.

What I can't stand is raisins IN other food ... like cinnamon buns, cookies, breads, and so forth. They're just yucky that way.

If I didn't have my cinnamon raisin bread I'd be a sad panda. I'd call your aversion strange if I didn't have one even more out there: I can only eat vegetables that are served in an Indian dish, or prepared as they are in India/Indian Restaurants. That means I'll eat curried just about anything but a leaf of lettuce is a no go.

I'll have to find some good ones. Over christmas break I'll be near some of the meccas of chocolate so maybe that'll be the ticket to awesome chocolate dipped strawberries.
