I do really love her and I really hate communism. So it stands to reason that I'd bring her as far as communism as I can. I was offered a job teaching computer science at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology's campus in Saigon. They were going to pay me $2,000 USD per month! To give you an idea what that's like, most people earn $30-$100 per month with engineers, doctors, etc. making $200.

I thought long and hard about it, but in the end I had to turn it down. If I took it I'd have to pay off the cops and perhaps other gov't officials, the mafia, and others to leave me alone. I'd also never be able to talk about true freedom and about the evils of communism without going to jail. They won't mess with a tourist, but if you live there it's a different story.

In person? About 2 months. Never seen her naked even. But we write letters, call each other, email almost everyday, and chat online with the webcam.

Even though 2 months is short, I already know what kind of a person she is and she treats me better than any woman I've ever known. The fact that she's exceedingly good looking is just a bonus.

That's not the case, and if it were the case I could sue them because that isn't grounds to turn down a fiance visa. I tend to think it was something they asked during her interview. Everything was going smoothly until her interview and then it all stopped. I think they asked her if we would be married right away and she said, "I don't know" or something to that effect because we hadn't set a date yet, and that cast some doubts.

But in any case, their job isn't to determine whether or not we have a relationship to their satisfaction. Their only job is to determine whether or not the woman I've chosen as my wife will be a danger when she comes to America and she won't.

Shakira "whenever, wherever" is funky for a lurve song

Ronan Keating "when you say nothing at all"

Bryan Adams "heaven" however lots of remixes have been done of this tune which are much better IMO.

Yep, if she mentioned or hinted marriage at all to the INS that's what got her visa denied. You can come to visit, or to study, but you cant come to marry. Do you have to sponsor her? Put up a wad of security $?

A friend of my mother's married a woman from Thailand, and after several years was able to get the paperwork through the system so that she could come to the States. Last I heard (several years ago), they were still unable to get the papers through to bring her children to the States.

According to the gossip, she was surprised when they arrived at his house because he wasn't rich, didn't have a mansion, etc. She had thought that "all Americans are rich!". (I didn't know them well enough to say whether or not this was a problem, but I believe (according to gossip again) that it wasn't).
