How do I explain this on Judgement Day..

I think when I face God I am going to have a-lot of explaining to do. After all every careless word must be accounted for. I have created my own prison and described a very hellish world. It was nothing that people haven't already heard just a bunch of mixed words. I dunno sometimes I think that God is just mean.

qcc??

He's a forgiving sort of guy. Apologise nicely, you'll be okay.

What about the words that are just in your head, but that you don't say out loud? Won't he zap you for those also?

I think that the verbal "recycling bin" of the mind is just a safe place to keep certain things unsaid. There's a scripture that says something to the extent of 'we take captive every thought' and make it obedient to Christ.

Make sure you are wearing clean underwear. Nobody ever notices anything else. Really. My mom said so.

Be compliant about taking the meds they give you at the clinic. You'll be amazed how much happier god is going to be with you.

religious preoccupation ... what they really mean is obsession. Like it's okay to be religious, but if one's religious thoughts, behaviors, feelings, get in the way of normal functioning, then it's a preoccupation.

When all one posts about is religion and stuff ... that's when it's become a problem.

A problem for whom? His posting abnout religion and stuff has become a problem...for him? Are posts the problem or the symptom? Obsession is the problem for him, the posts can only be a problem for someone else.

Oh well, JBK, don't worry about it. A preoccupation is better than no occupation.

I've said for many years now "If you're thinking it, you might as well be saying it.", regarding the penalties to be paid.

Of course, the person I'm thinking it about will feel better if I keep my mouth shut.

Jimmy Carter reminded us in that Playboy interview years ago, that if you commit adultery in your heart, it's just as bad as doing it for real. And man, did he every commit a lot of adultery in his heart! (According to him.)

Seems like if you follow his logic, then the words you think are just as bad as words you say.
