Long Island Iced Tea

A long island iced tea is often my drink of choice, because for some reason I have an unnatural resistance to alcohol and other chemicals, and a Long Island is strong enough that I can start to feel the effects after a couple glasses.

I have had good Long Islands, and bad Long Islands. I am looking for a good recipe for one so I can build them at home occasionally, if anyone has one they particularly like. I've seen lots of variations, there are ten different recipes on www.webtender.com. I know I could try them all and work out one I like, but that can take awhile. Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with them, and what they found worked well.

A Long Island usually contains shots of gin, light rum, tequila, vodka and triple sec. Also sweet and sour mix, and usually a little cola for color.

Later,
