But we're not sure what it was. (no wiseguy jokes, please)
They looked like small, cored onions. Tasted like chewy pears. I asked one waitres what they were, she called me something unpronounceable in Chinese. The next called them "lee-che". The third (who almost spoke English) called them "Long Yang). She wrote it down for me, using the Chinese characters for "dragon" and "eyes". Anyone know what they are called in English? Billy?
