JBK's grammar is excellent, so I guess English is his (her?) first language.
If it's any consolation, it wasn't until third year of university that I learned how to spell necessary, and the difference between it's and its. I had a PhD before I learned the difference between practise and practice. English spelling is horribly inconsistent. What is your situation, JBK? Studying? Graduated? What's your schtick?
