I got this from JBK as a Visitor Message on my Profile Page (neither of which are things I realized existed), but replying there seemed weird and problematic to me, so I'm starting a thread.

Thank you. i really respect what it takes to say something like that, and to apologize like that. I'm not sure that I can find it in my cold, black heart to forgive your violent rhetoric, because it affects not just me but the entire queer community, and because I know more than just a couple queers like me who have actually suffered literal physical violence at the hands of bigots, but I can easily forgive you for the personal attacks against me. I'm really glad to see that you want to make amends, and I thank you for the value you attach to me and my opinions - a value that I'm not sure I even attach to my own self, to be honest. I hope you continue to grow and learn from your experience here at the Cellar, and from contact with people as far outside your own worldview as I am.
Thanks, JB. It takes a big person - maybe a bigger person than me - to admit your failings like that and try to make amends. Cheers, mate.
