This is NOT THE JOB OF THE CONGRESS!!! They are not responsible for correcting every unfair thing in our society. This mindset leads to the expansion of the federal government and the establishment of a nanny state, in which we the people become helpless invalids, relying on the mighty congress to settle every playground squabble.
Grow up, people! Step back, Congress!
Every exercise of government power, however small or seemingly inconsequential, does violence to the freedom of the people.
